Stop ICE Abuse in Escondido

The City of Escondido just approved a contract with the Department of Homeland Security that lets ICE agents get weapons training on city-owned property.

That means our tax dollars are helping train ICE agents how to open fire on our own communities. Unacceptable.

ICE has gone too far — fueling fear and unrest with reckless tactics, including the recent fatal shooting of a U.S. citizen in Minneapolis.

We’ve seen masked agents smashing in doors, dragging people from homes, and scenes that feel more like military operations in foreign countries than community safety here at home.

It’s un-American — and no city in San Diego County should be fueling it.
