I’m John Lira. I grew up on San Antonio’s southeast side, joined the Marines straight out of high school, and served in Iraq. I came home to continue my education and keep serving — as an intelligence analyst, a policy expert, and as the senior presidential advisor for AmeriCorps.

Whether helping veterans start their own businesses at the SBA or expanding opportunities for a new generation to serve their communities, my career has been about honoring those who serve and building pathways for others to step up.
