About Ken Burns
Ken Burns has been making documentary films for fifty years.
Since the Academy Award nominated Brooklyn Bridge in 1981, Ken has
gone on to direct and produce some of the most acclaimed historical
documentaries ever made, including The Civil War; Baseball; Jazz; The
War; The National Parks: America’s Best Idea; Prohibition; The
Roosevelts: An Intimate History; The Vietnam War; Country Music; The
U.S. and the Holocaust; The American Buffalo; Leonardo da Vinci; and,
most recently, The American Revolution.
Future film projects include Emancipation to Exodus, and LBJ & the Great
Society, among others.
Ken’s films have been honored with dozens of major awards, including seventeen Emmy Awards, two Grammy Awards and two Oscar nominations. In September of 2008, at the News & Documentary Emmy Awards, Ken was honored by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences with a Lifetime Achievement Award. In November of 2022, Ken was inducted into the Television Academy Hall of Fame.

Contribution rules
- I am a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).
- I am at least eighteen years old.
- This contribution is made from my own funds, and funds are not being provided to me by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.
- I am making this contribution with my own personal credit or debit card and not with a corporate or business credit card or a card issued to another person.
Federal law requires us to use our best efforts to collect and report the name, mailing address, occupation and name of employer of individuals whose contributions exceed $200 in an election cycle.
Contributions or gifts to Talarico Victory Fund are not tax-deductible. The first $3,500 of a contribution from a person and the first $5,000 of a contribution from a multi-candidate PAC will be allocated to Talarico for Texas and will be designated for the general election. The next $10,000 from a person and $5,000 from a multi-candidate PAC will be allocated to the Texas Democratic Party. The next $44,300 of each contribution from a person and $15,000 from a multi-candidate PAC will be allocated to the DSCC and will be designated for the DSCC’s general fund. The next $265,800 from a person and $90,000 from a multi-candidate PAC will be allocated to the DSCC and will be designated for the DSCC’s headquarters fund or voter protection/legal defense fund up to the legal limits.
A contributor may designate their contribution for a particular participant. The allocation formula above may change if following it would result in an excessive contribution.
